Bet Fair, a leading online casinos book maker and sports betting site, is facing a long investigation centered on allegations relating to the outcome of races on which online casinos punters bet online. The results and details of about 80 races were examined, after six-time champion jockey, Kieren Fallon, along with two other jockeys, Fergal Lynch and Darren Williams, were charged with race-fixing offences after a two-year investigation. The City of London police are conducting the investigation.
The criminal charges are the conclusion to an investigation, Operation Krypton, which began in 2004. The investigation has sent shockwaves through the racing fraternity. It is the first big case involving the growing trend of online casinos horseracing betting. Fallon, 41, was one of 11 people charged in the wake of the biggest online casinos inquiry of its kind. This is truly a massive investigation.
These famous and successful horseracing jockeys were charged with conspiracy to defraud customers of Bet Fair, one of the world's biggest online casinos services. Miles Rodgers, the former owner and racing syndicate director was also charged with conspiracy to defraud and with an offence under the Proceeds of Crime Act. Online casinos fans and bettors who used Bet Fair to place their bets are anxiously waiting to hear the verdict and results of this investigation. If convicted, this incident of fraud will go down in online casino history. When this entire investigation will be over is still unknown.
